Course Overview
What does a Cranemasters rigging course teach the operators
We have identified after training 4 thousand students in Alberta what basic skills they require to rig a load safely;
■They will learn, Alberta OH&S legislation employer and employee responsibilities,
■They will learn the requirements for application and inspection of the ASME B30.20 below the hook lifting devices legislation which includes (plate clamps, spreader bars, clamps etc)For more information Contact
■They will learn the requirements for application and inspection of the ASME B30.9 Wire rope, Chain and Synthetic slings Legislation
■They will learn the requirements for application and inspection of the ASME B30.26 Rigging-hardware legislation which includes (shackles, eyebolts, swivel hoist rings, etc)
■They will learn the basics of sling tension
■They will learn the three basic hitches, vertical, choke and basket
■They will learn how to calculate the weight of what they are lifting
■They will given rigging handbooks and reference binders. The average person only retains about 20% the reference material is there's to keep
■All courses are site specific and their wallet and wall certificate will have your companies name on it
■The course is six hours theory and two hours practical
■We Will include a safety summary of any deficiencies found and advice for corrective action
